The Kano State Government, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, will begin prosecuting individuals who fail to pay taxes in 2025 as part of reforms in its tax system.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the governor's spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kaduna.
The statement noted that Dr. Zaid Abubakar, the head of the Kano State Revenue Agency, made this announcement during a speech to the governor at a major meeting attended by senior government officials.
